Description

Canal Warehouse and Field Farm House is a building dating from around 1800 for the warehouse and the early 19th century for the farmhouse, with a later 19th-century addition at the rear. The structure is made of brick and features pantile roofs, cogged eaves, an eaves band, and two gable stacks. It is two storeys tall and has an L-plan layout with three bays on the left for the farmhouse and two bays on the right for the warehouse. The warehouse has four different casements and a central plank door with a ladder above, flanked by single slatted openings, all of which have segmental heads. Above this, there are two additional slatted openings. The farmhouse has a recessed central doorway flanked by single 20th-century casements, with two similar casements above.
