Description
Clayworth Hall and its outbuilding are located on Church Lane in Clayworth and date from the early 19th century. The house is constructed of stucco and features a hipped roof made of graduated slate, with an ashlar plinth. It stands two storeys high and has five bays. The main northeast front has a projecting three-bay center flanked by two single bays. The central entrance features a moulded doorcase with pilaster bases, containing a half-glazed door with a geometrical overlight. This is flanked by single margin light French windows, with additional single glazing bar sashes that have segmental heads beyond them. On the upper floor, there are three glazing bar sashes with segmental heads, flanked by smaller similar sashes.
The rear elevation includes a central door with an overlight, above which is a round-headed stair light. The fenestration on this side is irregular and features eight glazing bar sashes. A rainwater head on the building is dated 1908. To the southwest, there is an outbuilding made of brick and rendered, topped with a hipped slate roof. This single-storey structure has two bays, with the east side featuring a pair of garage doors and a single hatch, while the north end has three doorways.
