Description
Manor House is a building dating from the 17th century, with significant additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed rubble and brick, with a hipped pantile roof. The lower portion is a chamfered rubble and brick plinth with ashlar dressings and dentillated eaves. It has single side wall and single rear wall stacks. The building has a square plan. The main west front features a central 19th-century ashlar doorcase with scrolled brackets to the hood, a geometrical overlight, and a glazed door. The doorcase is flanked by single glazing bar sashes with keystones, and above these are three smaller similar sashes, also with keystones. On the south side are two 20th-century glazed doors with overlights, and three 20th-century glazing bar casements, all with segmental heads. Inside, the front room to the right has beams with chamfers. A 19th-century open well staircase has turned balusters. A door made from framed oak panelling incorporates an 18th-century latch.
