Description
65 and 67 Town Street are two cottages built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed of brick, rendered, and topped with pantile roofs. The cottages feature a brick plinth, a first-floor band, brick eaves, and a single coped gable. There are two ridge stacks and a single external gable stack.
No. 65, on the left, has a central door flanked by a single glazing bar sash on the left and a single Yorkshire sash on the right. Above the door, there is a single plain sash. No. 67, on the right, has a recessed central doorway flanked by single glazing bar sashes, all of which have segmental heads. Above this doorway, there are two Yorkshire sashes. The rear elevation includes a glazed lean-to and irregular window arrangements. Inside, there is a single 18th-century fielded panel door.
