Description
This group of five estate cottages dates from the late 19th century and is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings, topped with steeply pitched fishscale slate roofs. The cottages feature a plinth and a lintel band, along with a central gable that has a stepped ogee design, as well as other stepped coped gables, all adorned with shoulders and kneelers. There are two external gable stacks and two ridge stacks. The windows are mullioned and transomed casements with hood moulds, while the doors have four-centred arched heads. The symmetrical front displays a projecting central bay flanked by gabled bays. The central doorway is flanked by three casements, with single doors and single casements beyond. Above, there are five casements and single breathers located in the gable peaks. Additionally, there is a range of single-storey matching outbuildings, consisting of three bays with a projecting central bay.
