Description
The Pigeoncote at Hardwick Grange is an early 19th-century structure made of brick with a rendered finish and a pyramidal slate roof. It features striated ashlar dressings, quoins, and bands at the first and second floors, as well as at the eaves. The building has a square plan and consists of three stages with a single bay.
The main north front includes a segmental-headed window, with a blocked semi-circular window above it. The south front has a 20th-century door and a blocked segmental-headed window above. On the east front, there is a 20th-century door on the second stage. Above this, a central square cupola is adorned with four glazing bar lights and pigeonholes, topped with a moulded cornice and a square ogee dome.
