Description

This is a group of four estate cottages built in the late 19th century, located on Hardwick Terrace in Worksop. The cottages are constructed of brick with ashlar dressing and feature a steeply pitched slate roof. They have a chamfered plinth and shouldered coped gables throughout, along with a first-floor band. There are three prominent ridge stacks.

All the windows are mullioned and transomed casements with hood moulds. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of eight unequal bays, presenting a symmetrical facade. The east front has a recessed central bay with two windows, flanked by two-storey projecting gabled bays that contain central four-centred arched doorways with hood moulds. These are further flanked by single casements and, beyond, single setback bays with four-centred arched doors. Above, there are two central cross eaves dormers with single casements, flanked by single casements in the projecting bays. Beyond these, there are additional single dormers and single breathers in setback bays.

Additionally, there are matching single-storey outbuildings with eight bays.
