5/57 Remains of Lincoln Terrace, garden benches and dock

Terrace, garden benches and dock on north side of Clumber Lake. Late C19. Ashlar and brick with ashlar coping. Terrace is approx. 60 M long with projecting central landing stage with curved flanks and central steps and flanking walls with chamfered coping and square piers. Beyond, curved terminal with ramped coping and square piers. To left, steps with flanking walls with moulded arrises and 4 matching square piers. Beyond, a pair of semi circular garden benches with scrolled ends in the form of winged lions, marble seat, and inlaid panelled back. To right, smaller steps with moulded arrises and a pair of garden benches with scrolled ends with lion's head finials, marble seats and inlaid panelled backs. Beyond again, rectangular dock, brick with chamfered ashlar coping.
