Description
School House is an ornamental cottage built in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and rendered, topped with a conical Westmoreland slate roof. The building features a plinth, a first floor band, and dentillated eaves, with a single rear wall stack. The structure is two storeys high and has an octagonal plan with three bays. The south front displays three mullioned and transomed glazing bar casements, with three smaller glazing bar casements above. There is a lower single bay link with a slate roof that connects to a conventional later 19th-century cottage, which is also two storeys high, has two bays, a slate roof, and a single gable stack.
