Description

Kruck Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 16th, 18th, and 19th centuries and features close studded and panelled timber framing, coursed rubble, and brick. The exterior is whitewashed and partly rendered, with pantile roofs that include some steep pitches and a catslide to the rear. The building has a single ridge and a single external gable stack.

It is two storeys high with four unequal bays. Most of the windows are late 20th century leaded casements. The west front includes a late 19th century addition on the left, which has a casement window on each floor. To the right of this addition is a box-framed two-bay section supported by three posts and featuring two casements. Further right is a close studded section with a deep rendered plinth. On the left side, there is a door with a late 20th century pantiled hood above which are two casements. The rendered south gable has a casement window on each floor, while the north gable features a single storey outbuilding with a casement and door on the left, and another casement above. The rear of the cottage has a casement and door, with a late 20th century gabled dormer above. Inside, there are remains of wall posts and chamfered span beams.
