Description

Old Manor Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the mid 17th century, was raised in the early 18th century, and has mid 19th century additions. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and brick, roughcast, and features a steep pitched slate roof. It has rubble and brick plinths, coped gables, a single ridge, and single gable stacks.

The cottage is two storeys high and has four bays. The southwest front includes a 20th century door on the left, flanked by single sliding sash windows, and to the right, there is a similar sash window. Above this, on the left, are three two-light sliding sashes, with a smaller sash and a casement to their right. There is also a 19th century lean-to addition with a pantile roof, corner stack, and a close boarded door.

At the rear, there is a chamfered Tudor arched doorway with a part glazed door on the left. To its right, there is a two-light sliding sash with a wooden lintel, flanked by a two-light sash on the left and a three-light sash on the right. Above, there are three two-light sliding sashes and, to the left, a smaller sliding sash. The interior features chamfered span beams and fireplace bressummers. The adjoining service wing, which has been converted into a separate property, is not included in this listing.
