Description

Park Farm is an early 18th-century manor house, later remodelled in the early 19th century, and subsequently altered in the mid- and late-20th century. The building is constructed of coursed and squared ironstone with artificial stone, featuring ashlar dressings and a steep-pitched slate roof. The exterior displays a chamfered and moulded plinth, a first-floor band, and coped gables with kneelers. There are two rendered brick ridge stacks.

The front elevation has a central porch with an arched doorway surrounded by multiple keystones, a moulded entablature carrying a scrolled panel with a crest and obelisk finials, and a pair of doors. Flanking the porch are two light mullioned and transomed casements with continuous hood moulds. Above these windows are five dormers, each with two-light mullioned casements and hood moulds; the central dormer incorporates a sundial dated 1729. The east gable includes a mullioned casement to the right, and above it, a chamfered four-centred arched doorway with a hood mould and an attached iron spiral stair. The west end features a late 20th-century mullioned and transomed casement on each floor. The rear of the house has a full-width flat-roofed addition, also dating from the late 20th century.
