Description
Poachers Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been converted into an agricultural store. They date from the early 18th century and have undergone some alterations in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble and brick, with some areas rendered and whitewashed, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It features two gable and a single ridge brick stacks, and has a single coped gable.
The structure is one storey plus attics and consists of six bays. The northwest front includes, on the left, a half-glazed door flanked by two single 2-light casements, with the casement to the right having a segmental head. Further to the right, there is another half-glazed door, followed by a 3-light sliding sash, and then a 2-light casement with a segmental head. Above these, there are two 2-light sliding sashes at the eaves, along with a small 2-light eyebrow dormer situated between them. The rear elevation features various 3-light sliding sashes.
