Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse and adjoining cottage that dates back to the early 17th century. It was re-cased in the late 18th century and has had additions made in the mid 19th century and mid 20th century. The building features timber framing with brick and rubble nogging, as well as coursed rubble and brick. It has a partial rubble plinth and roofs made of plain tile and pantile. The structure has a single coped gable, three ridge stacks, a single gable stack, and a single side wall stack.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with nine unequal bays. Most of the windows are 19th and 20th century casements, primarily with segmental heads. The east front has a door on the left flanked by single casements. To the right of this door is another door with an overlight, flanked on the left by a larger casement and on the right by two sash windows. Further to the right is another door. Above this arrangement, there are two casements on the left, a stair light, a blocked opening, and two Yorkshire sash windows. The south gable features 20th century external steps leading to an off-centre doorway.

At the rear, there is a central gabled two-storey addition. To the left of this addition is a timber-framed section with an intermediate rail, two bay posts, and arch braces. This section has a door flanked on the left by a casement and on the right by a sash window. Above this door, there is a sash window and a casement. To the right of the gabled addition, there are two Yorkshire sash windows, with a casement above them.
