Description
Spencer House is an early 19th-century house built by the Spencer family. It features a stucco exterior with a slate roof that has shouldered coped gables and an ashlar plinth. The building has boxed eaves and two gable stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a single range plus a rear wing. The windows are glazing bar sashes. The front of the house has a central moulded round-headed doorcase with a keystone and fanlight, flanked by single sash windows. Above the door, there are three additional sashes. The southeast end includes a sash window, and to the right, there is a pedimented doorcase with reeded columns and a Gothick overlight. At the rear, there is a single-storey wing with two bays, along with a square single-storey outbuilding that has a pyramidal slate roof and an octagonal cupola with a wind vane. To the west, there is a 20th-century door with flanking lights.
