Description

1 and 2 Westerton Farm Cottages is a farmhouse that has been converted into two cottages, dating from the 17th century or earlier. The building features a timber frame that has largely been recased in rubble stone and chequered brick. It has a stone slate roof that is hipped to the north and includes a ridge stack. There is a 19th-century addition at the south end, constructed from squared rubble stone with a slate roof and a south stack.

The structure is two storeys high. The west front displays rubble stone at the bottom and chequered brick above, with one timber post visible at the northwest corner. There are two triple casements and one large pair of casements on the upper level. The large triple casement has a concrete lintel, while the large casement pair features a timber lintel, with a door located below. The north end wall consists of stone at the bottom and timber framing above. The rear wall shows exposed timbers on part of the left side, with rubble stone below and brick above on the right. The south gable is roughcast. The 19th-century addition has a double-fronted west front with casement pairs on either side and a blocked centre door.
