Description
The Close is a house dating from the 17th century, altered in subsequent periods. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof, featuring a stack at the south end and a ridge stack. The house is two storeys and an attic. The upper floor has two triple casement windows. Below, there are two 19th-century timber oriel bays, and a central doorway with a hood supported by brackets. A four-light leaded casement window is located at the north end of the attic. A 20th-century wing extends from the north-west rear. It is believed the house originates from around 1640.
