Description
Beeson House is a farmhouse that has been converted into two cottages. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and features an exposed timber frame with red brick infill from the 17th to 18th centuries. The roof is covered in plain tiles and is half hipped on the west side. The eastern gable end has been stuccoed in the 19th century. A central ridge chimney stack, likely from the mid-17th century, has six stepped red brick shafts. The building is two storeys high and has five small glazing bar casements on the first floor, which are probably in their original openings, and three larger casements on the ground floor. There are two 19th-century doors with tiled hoods. The structure consists of four bays, with the external framing having been refaced. The two bays to the east of the chimney stack have a lower first floor and may be older.
