Description
Hedges Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, originally timber-framed and later cased in red brick in the late 18th century. Around 1840, the front was painted brick. The building has an L shape and features a slate roof on the front and plain tiles on the rear. It is two storeys high, with the facade displaying three tall sash windows on the right. The left side has a 17th-century interior and is mostly blank, except for a central door flanked by casement windows. The central door is topped with a tall fanlight. A tall square 17th-century chimney stack is located at the junction with the rear block, which has two three-light segmental-headed casements. The eaves are adorned with dentilled brickwork, and there is a 19th-century panelled door on the right.
