3/41 Acorn House and Gateway

II

House and gateway. Early C19. Coursed limestone rubble with stucco dressings, hipped pantile roof with 2 brick stacks. 3 bay 2 storey front with central 6 panelled door with overlight, flanked by single plain sashes with to 1st floor 3 bordered sashes. All windows have rusticated splayed stucco lintels with dropped keystones. In the garden wall to the left of the house is a round headed doorway with above a rounded pediment surmounted by an acorn finial. The wall to either side is ramped up to form curvilinear gables with flat stone coped tops.
