Description
Thorpe House is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble limestone that has been rendered, with sandstone dressings, and features a slate roof with stone gable end stacks. The building has two storeys and an east elevation that consists of three bays. The central doorway is framed by stone surrounds, featuring a depressed ogee arch cut into the lintel and a flat bracketed hood above. The door itself is a 19th-century six-panelled design, with the top two panels being glazed. On either side of the door are glazing bar sash windows, also with stone surrounds. Above, there are three similar windows. The house has bracketed eaves corbels.
