Description
Littlepark Farmhouse, along with an attached cowhouse and granary, dates from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th and 20th centuries. The building features a high rubble stone base and brick upper floors, topped with plain tile roofs. The south gable has a coped parapet and an integral end stack.
The farmhouse is aligned north-south, with an entrance located in a gabled projection on the south side. It has three storeys and is arranged in a 2:1 bay configuration. The east front includes a projecting two-storey gabled porch that breaks to the north, featuring a half-glazed door facing south. The windows are modern casements with segmental heads and blue brick headers above the arches of the upper windows, while the ground floor windows still have their shutter stays.
The attached cowhouse and granary are two storeys high and consist of two bays. The first floor has casement windows, while the ground floor includes three inserted bottom-hung casements and two segmental-headed doors located directly below the first-floor windows.
Inside the farmhouse, there is a late 17th or early 18th-century staircase with splat balusters housed in a turret on the west side. The cowhouse and granary feature a pair of upper crucks.
