Description
Okeover Mill is a former water mill dating from the early 18th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, along with red brick additions. The roof is made of clay tiles and has a brick ridge stack. The building is divided into three parts: a central two-storey main building with a coped verge on the left, flanked by a lower two-storey wing on the right and a single-storey extension on the left, arranged in roughly 2:2:2 bays.
The main building has casement windows on the ground floor to the left of centre and on the first floor to the left and right. There is a roughly central ground floor door with a raised keystone and a first floor door to the left. The right-hand wing features board doors to the right and left of centre, with casements in the centre and to the right; the upper storey is a brick addition. The left-hand extension has two large double leaf doors. The east gable of the main building displays an exposed queen strut truss. Okeover Mill is set in a picturesque location to the north of Okeover Park.
