Pavilion . c1747-48 with early to mid-C19 extension. Built by Simon File probably to the designs of Joseph Sanderson. Ashlar front with chamfered quoins; slate roofs. Palladian garden feature. 3 bays, the outer ones lower, with lean-to's as implied pediment to taller central pedimented break; central round-headed moulded arch springing from moulded imposts has a fluted bracketed key, the arch is flanked by Doric columns supporting a pediment; round- headed glazing bar sashes to left and right with moulded architrave, raised key and bracketed sill. Extension to rear: Brick with ashlar quoins and dressings; slate roof with rustic barge boards. North elevation: Gabled 2-storey bay to left and single-storey bay to right with flat roof; glazing bar casements with shaped lintels; intertwined initials H.C.O. to left hand gable. C.L.
