Description
Gates and railings enclosing the south side of the garden to the west of Okeover Hall were constructed around 1740 by Robert Bakewell of Derby. Made of wrought iron, the gates are flanked by crested piers featuring scroll work and have an ogee overthrow. The spearhead rails include dog rails at the gates, and the railings are adorned with finialed square panels at intervals.
