Description

The gates, piers, and railings located immediately northeast of Okeover Hall date from around 1738 and were designed by Robert Bakewell of Derby. They are made of wrought iron and feature central segmental arched gates that are flanked by crested gate piers. There are also intermediate crested piers adorned with scrolls and an end pier to the east. The top rail has a fretted pattern, and the total length of the structure is approximately 15 yards. Repairs have been made to the original design.
