Description

The outer gates and gate piers to Okeover Hall date from around 1740. They are made of ashlar and feature wrought iron gates designed by Robert Bakewell of Derby. The gate piers are square in shape and have round-headed niches with a rusticated surround, a moulded cornice, and tall obelisk finials supported by balls at the corners. The gates are adorned with an elaborately decorated overthrow.
