Description
Durstons Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features stucco over limestone rubble, a slate roof, and brick stacks at the gable end and rear outshut. The building has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high with a two-window range. The front facade includes two six-over-six pane sash windows on each floor, with the ground floor windows situated beneath a continuous labelled hoodmould. There is a small false gable at the center, adorned with stepped stone copings and a medieval trefoil-headed niche. On the right side, there is a re-set three-light stone mullioned window and a late 19th-century door. The interior is noted for having 19th-century joinery and other features.
