Description
Priory Green Residential Home is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stucco, likely over limestone rubble, and features a painted stone plinth, doorcase, cornice, and parapet coping, with unpainted stone sills and copings on the gable ends. The building has a double-pitch slate roof with crested ridge tiles, although the gable stacks have been removed.
The house has a double-depth central-stair plan and stands two storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical three-window range. The doorcase is adorned with a pediment above panelled pilasters and reveals, leading to a six-panel door that has four glazed upper panels and two lower panels with added moulding, topped by a wooden fanlight. All the windows are elegant 8/8-pane sashes. There are four tie bars with circular plates positioned below the cornice, and two tie bars are located on either side of the door. The right return features an early 19th-century lead hopperhead.
Attached to the property are forecourt railings set on a Ham Hill stone plinth. These railings are characterized by long and short sections with spearheads on each rail.
