Description

This is a pair of semi-detached houses located on the south side of High Street in Chard, built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco and feature painted and panelled stone pilasters, quoins, and a moulded cornice to the doorcase. They have a slate roof and brick stacks to the gable ends. The symmetrical front elevation has three windows per floor, with all windows being 8/8-pane sashes. A stepped approach leads to a central doorway with six panels and an overlight. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. Attached to the front of the houses are area railings with anthemion-style cast tops, set upon a stone plinth.
