Description
No. 43 is a house, likely with a shop, dating from the early 19th century, although it may have earlier origins. The building is roughcast, probably over limestone rubble, and features a gabled slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a four-window range. All windows are 20th-century metal casements, except for a wooden ground-floor bay added in 1990 to the right. The entrance, located to the right of centre, has a six-panel door set within an early 19th-century doorcase that includes reeded pilasters and a cornice. The left bay is likely from around 1930, while the right bay replaces a former shop front. The property also features early 19th-century area railings with cast palmette finials on a stone plinth. The interior has not been inspected.
