Description
The Bull and Swan Inn is a building dating from 1671, located on the east side of St Martin's. It features late 16th century and early 17th century architectural elements. The structure is made of stone and rendered surfaces, standing two storeys tall. It has two splayed gabled bays, which are adorned with restored six-light transom and mullion windows that have moulded stone surrounds. On the north side, there is a gable over the entry that contains a modern casement window. This gable projects on stone corbels and is plastered, with a slightly projecting top that displays a Cecil badge of a garb between two lions in pargetting. The Bull and Swan Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 18 to 38 and the Church of St Martin.
