Description
No. 24 St Martin's is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of St Martin's. The front elevation features two storeys constructed of dressed stone and a Mansard roof with three cambered dormers that curve to the eaves. It has a wooden eaves cornice and three windows with flat stone arches and plain reveals. There are stone bands at the cill levels and a stone plinth. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with glazed side lights, topped by a "Gothic" traceried fanlight and a semi-circular rusticated surround. Inside, the cellar contains part of a 13th-century crypt with a quadripartite vault supported by corbels. Nos 18 to 38, along with the Church of St Martin, form a group with this building.
