Description
Number 30 on St Martin's dates from 1671 and is a mid-18th century building. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of ashlar stone. The facade features three windows with plain reveals and straight stone arches, fitted with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. There are stone bands at the cills. The first floor has a full-length central window and a later wooden balcony that is well-designed. The porch is supported by two Greek Doric columns, with a third similar column holding up one end of the balcony. On the ground floor, beneath the balcony, there is a splayed three-light bay window made of wood and stone, featuring "Gothic" glazing bars. Number 30 is part of a group that includes numbers 18 to 38 and the Church of St Martin.
