Description

No. 34 St Martin's is a building dating from 1671, featuring a mid-18th century front elevation on an earlier core. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has two storeys with attics, including two cambered dormers. The building is topped with stone chimney stacks and has a moulded wood eaves cornice. There are two windows with stone architraves, double-hung sashes, and glazing bars. A stone band runs above the windows and between the storeys, and rusticated quoins add to the architectural detail. The entrance consists of a six-panel door set in a plain stone surround, topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars, and includes an inset foot scraper. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 18 to 38 and the church of St Martin.
