Description
Holly Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has undergone some alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a pantiled roof with a brick ridge stack. The gable faces the road. The front of the cottage is a single storey with two bays and a garret, along with a single bay lean-to extension on the right, which is covered by a catslide roof.
The entrance is an off-centre 19th-century planked door, which is decorated with two centred arches in the Gothick style and has a narrow hood mould above it. To the right of the door is a three-light casement window, and above it on the first floor is a similar two-light window. All openings have timber lintels. Additionally, there is a second planked door to the right that leads into the extension.
