Description

The Old Farm House is a house dating to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, featuring stone coped gables, and roofs covered in plain tiles and pantiles. The house has two brick ridge stacks. The main block is five bays wide and two storeys high, with a single-storey, three-bay extension to the right. The front of the main block has a centrally placed 20th-century panel door, flanked to the left by a three-light mullioned window. To the right of the door are a single three-light and a single four-light mullioned window, beyond which, in the extension, is a two-light mullioned window, a 20th-century planked door, and a single 20th-century light. The first floor has three triple-light mullioned windows. All the mullioned windows are good 19th-century replacements of 17th-century originals, incorporating moulded frames, ovolo mullions, and moulded cornices.
