Description
Apple Cross House is a former shop dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof with two gable stacks. The front of the building showcases patterned brickwork, incorporating dark headers and distinct first and second floor bands. The façade has a two-bay, three-storey design. An off-centre six-panelled door is set within a timber panelled reveal, topped by a triple overlight and a splayed lintel. To the left of the door, there is a small fixed glazing bar light with a flat lintel, and further to the left, a larger glazing bar sash window is flanked by sunken panels and a fascia board above. On the first floor, there is a single glazing bar sash window with a splayed lintel, and on the second floor, a similar window is positioned beneath the eaves.
