Description
This cottage, located west of the bridge over the River Glen, dates from around 1800 and has some alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof with two brick ridge stacks. The building is two stories high and has a four-bay front. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an open wrought iron porch, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows, and to the right, there is a fixed light. All windows are set under plain ashlar lintels. On the first floor, there are four glazing bar sash windows at the eaves. To the left, there is a two-story, two-bay extension with a slate roof, which includes planked double doors, an open doorway with a segmental arched head, and a two-light fixed window. This cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
