Description

The School of the Roman Catholic Church of St Augustine, built in 1864 by architect G. Goldie, is located on the north side of Broad Street. It is designed as a single composition with the church. The gable facing the road features a cusped light above two lancet windows, while the sides have eight paired two-light lancets. There is a porch on the right side. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has a Welsh slate roof. The school, along with the church, wall, gate piers, and nearby properties numbered 14, 15, and 17 to 22, form a cohesive group.
