Description
Barwells Cottage and House is a building that combines a house and an adjoining cottage. It dates from the 17th century, with mid-18th century, 19th century, and 20th century alterations. The structure is made of rendered brick with quoins and features a pantile roof. It has a central ridge, a single gable, and a single lateral rendered stack. The cross wing has coped gables, while the main range has a high plinth. The building is two storeys tall and consists of five bays. The central doorway has a part glazed door, with two glazing bar sashes on either side. Above, there are four glazing bar sashes. To the right, the projecting gable wall of the cross wing has a single glazing bar sash on each floor.
