Description
Norfolk House is a house dating from the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century extension and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick and has a slate roof, featuring two gable stacks and a single ridge stack. The eaves are bracketed with wood. The main part of the house is two storeys high and has three bays, with a central doorway. The entrance is framed by an open lattice porch, which has decorative scrolls at the top, and is topped with decorative lattice, an entablature, and a cornice. The door is panelled. On either side of the entrance are single 20th-century canted bays, each containing a tripartite plain sash window. Above these are three glazing bar sashes, with the one over the doorway being narrower. To the left of the main house is a two-storey, two-bay extension, which features two cambered arched plain sash windows, with two glazing bar sashes above. All windows, except those in the canted bays, have flush wedge lintels, and all first-floor windows have small bracketed hoods.
