Description
Harrison's Mill is a tower windmill built in 1843 for Charles Treffitt. It is constructed of red brick and features moulded brick eaves. The mill stands six storeys tall and has a circular shape. The south side includes window openings on the first, second, and third floors. The west side has a doorway with part-glazed double doors, with single window openings on each floor above. The north side has single window openings on the first, second, and third floors, while the east side has single window openings on the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth floors. All openings are set under segmental arches. Although the interior of the mill has not been inspected, it is said to contain remains of a wooden upright shaft, some tentering gear, and the remains of a hurst on the ground floor, though no shaft is visible from the exterior.
