Description
Penny Hill Windmill is a tower mill built between 1826 and 1827, with a later 19th-century top storey. It is constructed of red brick and currently has no roof. The mill stands six storeys tall. On the north side, there are steps leading up to a doorway with double doors, along with four glazing bar windows arranged one above the other. There is another doorway to the north-west with double doors. The west side features a blocked window opening and three glazing bar windows stacked vertically. The south side has five glazing bar windows, but the third and sixth floor windows are now blocked. The east side also has five glazing bar windows arranged one above the other. All openings have segmental heads. No milling machinery remains inside the mill.
