Description
The Priory is a house built in 1743, constructed of red brick with a slate roof. It features brick coped gables and dentillated eaves that extend across the return walls, along with wooden modillioned eaves and a left gable stack. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a five-bay front that includes a central doorway framed by a pilastered doorcase, a segmental pediment, a reveal, an overlight, and a panelled door. There are two glazing bar sash windows on each side of the doorway, all under segmental heads, and five glazing bar sash windows above. The roof has three segmental dormers, each containing a glazing bar sash. On each side, there is an ashlar coped sloping wall that ends with brick piers topped with ashlar coping and ball finials, creating a small gateway. A lozenge-shaped datestone inscribed with '1743' is located in the west return.
