Description

This is a late 18th-century house, with additions from the mid-19th century and the 20th century. It’s constructed of red brick with painted stucco dressings, and has a slate roof with a brick coped left gable, a coped parapet, and a gable stack. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-bay front with a high plinth. A set of three steps leads to the central doorway, which is now within a 20th-century brick porch featuring a large overlight and a partially glazed door. The doorway is flanked by plain sash windows, with three plain sashes above. All windows have painted stucco wedge lintels with raised keystones. Two 20th-century gabled dormers contain plain sash windows. The building is included on the heritage list for its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
