Description
Westholme is a house dating from the mid-18th century, which was refronted around 1825. It is constructed of red brick with a concrete tiled roof, featuring overhanging eaves with a projecting paired bracketed cornice and a single lateral stack. The house has three storeys and a basement and presents a two-bay front.
Three steps lead to the entrance on the left, which has fluted Doric pilasters, dosserets, a modillioned pediment, a panelled reveal, a blocked overlight, and an eight-panelled door. A canted bay window is on the right, with a rusticated basement and fixed light. Above the bay window is a tripartite glazing bar sash window with fluted divisions and an entablature with a modillioned cornice. Two further glazing bar sashes are above this, and two smaller glazing bar sashes above those, all with cambered heads and flush wedge lintels.
