Description
Washway House is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features double ridge slate roofs with brick coped and tumbled gables, along with four gable stacks. The building has two storeys with an attic and a five-bay front. The central doorway is framed by a pilastered doorcase with decorative brackets that support a plain cornice, and it includes an overlight and a 20th-century panelled door. On either side of the doorway, there are two glazing bar sash windows, with five additional glazing bar sashes above, all featuring segmental heads. The house also has three hipped slate dormers, each with two-light casements.
