Description
This is a house located at 1 London Road, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with two gable stacks. The building has brick-coped and tumbled gables and stands two storeys high with an attic, comprising three bays.
The central doorway is adorned with a panelled door, an ornate fanlight, and a keystone. The doorcase is supported by slender fluted half columns with dosserets that hold up an open pediment. On either side of the door are single casement windows with margin lights and flush wedge lintels. Above the door, there are three glazing bar sash windows, also with flush wedge lintels. The attic includes two segmental arched dormers, each featuring a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window.
