Description
The Nationwide Building Society and Messop and Bowser Solicitors building is an early 19th-century former school, now used as offices. It is constructed of red brick and features a concrete tile roof, with the remains of two ridge stacks. The building is single storey and has eight bays. From left to right, there is a doorway with a panelled door, an overlight, and a Tudor-style hood mould. This is followed by three elongated horizontal glazing bar Yorkshire sashes, each with similar hood moulds. Next is another doorway with a part-glazed door and a similar hood mould, a single sash with a hood mould, and on the far right, two glazing bar sashes in what was once a single bay, with the remains of a similar hood mould. The building is included for its group value only.
